A 5-week course suitable for people with little to no experience mountain biking and would like to learn the fundamentals in a safe and encouraging environment. This course will help you to get a better understanding of your bike and how it works, as well as learn new skills to improve your riding.
This course takes place once a week for 5 consecutive weeks; each week we will focus on a new skill. Each session will start with some skill development in the field followed by a trail ride to implement what we've learned.
This course is the perfect kick start to your summer; learn the basics of mountain biking so you can develop your skills and confidence safely throughout the whole season.
This course will cover:
- Bike fit, maintenance, and safety check
- Changing a flat tire
- Stance + Balance on the bike
- Braking + Gear shifting
- Cornering techniques
- Wheel Lifts
- Dismounting your bike safely
Location: Golden, BC
Dates: Tuesdays from May 9th - June 6th
Length: 5x 3 hour sessions 6-9pm
Cost: $295 + gst
