Life is so crazy. So precious. Yesterday I had a pretty scary experience. A serious anxiety attack coupled with dehydration, not enough calories, or something. No one really knows for sure. I thought I was dying; no exaggeration here. I thought I was having a stroke. So scary I can't even explain. Needless to say, as hard times usually do, it taught me a lot. It taught me a lot about balance. It taught me a lot about gratitude, not just thinking it, but really feeling it. It taught me about celebrating the life that lives on within you. I don't mean celebrating with a bottle of champagne, I mean celebrating by climbing a mountain, or going for a surf, or going outside to do any activity that you thoroughly enjoy. Celebrate by laughing and practicing yoga, and being silly, and enjoying this present moment right now. It's all you have. It really is, as likely as it may be that you'll wake up feeling okay tomorrow, there are no guarantees. None, zip, zilch. This may be your last experience on this earth and what do you want to do with it? Would you be satisfied with your life if you were to die right now? If so, keep living your life the way you are. If not, make changes, now. No one said life had to be lived a certain way. Listen to your heart and what you believe to be true and forget about what everyone else thinks is a good way to live life. Live your life for you. Not for your parents, not for your spouse, not for your siblings. It doesn't mean you don't love them, it just means you love yourself enough to honour the life within you.
